When it comes to computers, it's always the small things that drive you insane.
Having to use a Linux GUI is driving me to distraction. For better or worse, I'm used to the 'Windows way' and small differences in KDE and Firefox as starting to irritate me.
For KDE, there are two main irritants so far (apart from being SLOW):
Recently, my biggest annoyance has been Firefox URL editing; I'm used to using CTRL-Left to move left a word when editing the URL in the address bar. Firefox seems to think only white space characters are acceptable word boundaries.
Today, I discovered a way to fix this and would like to share it. Simply go to 'about:config' and set the following value to true:

- getting the windows key to work as in windows e.g. windows key to activate the start button, Win+E to start explorer, Win+D to minimize desktop; and
- getting copy/paste clipboard functionality to work as I want it to.
